Simple ideas

Melissa says:
So with Lifescrap 365, some of you maybe wondering how that will work for Scrapbooking. I thought people might like to see how I've set up my album, how I plan to maintain and keep up to date while working towards my goals.
Last year was personally a very tough one, overwhelming to say the least. So in 2010, the plan is to have more inspired balance when it comes to work, home, family and friends. More on that as the journey continues!!!

My album is a 3 ring binder from American Crafts. I'm going to use a combination of refills made to fit the 6 inch by 12 inch size, as well as some ATC page protectors. Jill and I are both using the same ones but I've cut mine down so there are only 6 pockets. These are where my mini size photo's and journalling notes will be.

When Jill and I discussed what our committment would be, I decided that 1 full page protector and 2 ATC pockets would be enough for me to store a months worth of photo's, journalling and memorabilia in.
Each month is set up so all I have to do is drop in things as I go.
Right now, I'm working on January and you'll be able to see how it looks with some well deserved colour.

Yesterday

Jill says:
Well, Mel sent me a message this morning pointing out to me that yesterday was the first time since the inception of this idea that we hadn't in some way discussed it. There was also some texting about how our inspiration and motivation was just as enthusiastic with both of us taking some steps toward documenting our achievements.

I spent some time networking my own personal blog and making a post or two. I also began my visionboard and posted my goals up for the world to see. It felt good to do that; I was proud to shout my goals to the world because I feel ever so confident, whatever happens, it's going to be a pretty darn good year!

It's Only The Beginning....

It's funny how quickly a conversation can go from fabric rosettes to scrapping 365 days of the year. We think it took all of about 5 minutes for the inspiration to take over, like mad women possessed. That's how this all happened you know.

Allow us to introduce ourselves. Mel, the seasoned scrapper and Jill, the experienced coach, well we are the Project Managers. What exactly are we project managing? We are project managing our lives this year. Tough job but someone's got to do it.

The "Life Scrap 365" is loosely based on 2 different concepts, one from Becky Higgins; that has us documenting life over 365 days and one from Ali Edwards; who each year chooses one word to be her guide.

As well as these ideas, we have decided to put our own individual spins on this as each of us have different ways we want to approach it. Our goal is to share with you our ideas to encourage you to drop by our blog regularly and be inspired along the way.

So add us to your favourites, leave us a comment every time you drop by and share us with your family and friends.
